Jimmie "Big Jim" F. Hill (45) of Madison, WI passed away on Saturday February 16 ^th following a catastrophic aortic dissection, that he was unable to recover from. Jim was born on October 28, 1973 in Vicenza, Italy and spent the early part of his life moving around with his family. Jim and his family settled in Wisconsin in the 1980's. When he was 11, Jim joined the school band. The school chose the upright bass for him to play. From that point on music was his life. No matter where he was, his guitar was not far behind him. Not only was Jim a phenomenal musician, he was a prolific song writer. Play, write, sing, this was his focus in life. That is until 2002 when his first daughter was born. Over the next few years he had his second and third daughters. To Jim, his girls hung the moon. He could not be prouder when all three shared his love of music and musical attributes.

Jim is survived by his three daughters, Savannah Hill (16), Melody Hill (13), and Trinittie Hill (6). His Father, Larry Hill sr. (Barbara), Brothers, Larry Hill jr. (Tammy Castanza), Jason Hill and Sister, Donna (Bill) Clark. One niece, three nephews, and a grandnephew. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and many, many friends. Jim is preceded in death by his loving mother, Diana Hill (Jozefowicz), bother (Brady Hill), and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Celebration of Jimmie's Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Hall, 221 Frederick St., Belleville, WI. To all you musicians…..There will be a jam session, so bring your voice and instruments.
