Jerrald L. Zweifel, age 68, of Evansville, WI., passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. in Fitchburg. Jerry was born September 22, 1946, to Wilbert and Velma (Smith) Zweifel at Madison General Hospital. He graduated from Evansville High School in 1965. He was married to Margaret Lechleitner and divorced. His first job was delivering the Capital Times in Mount Horeb, where his family lived until they moved to Evansville in 1956. There he delivered the Janesville Gazette and was manager for the Milwaukee Journal. He delivered Sealtest milk to houses and stores. He helped paint farm buildings with his uncles. He served in the army for three years, stationed in Germany - Sergeant E5. He hauled milk for Gene Weber, Wayne Austin, and Reggie Wild. He was a truck driver for Walnut Grove in Evansville and also manager there and Monticello for about 23 years. From there he worked at Cargill in Janesville, then in Milton. His last job before retiring was at Klassy Trucking out of Monticello. Survivors include his children, Johann Zweifel of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jennifer Zweifel of Janesville, and Nicole (Marc) Feggestad of Hartford, his grandchildren, Benjamin (Michaela) Zweifel, Tasia Zweifel, Jerome Hughes, and Evelyn Feggestad, his great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Jr. and Zara Zweifel, his father, Wilbert Zweifel of Evansville, his sister Laura (Ralph) Hagner of Allenton, his sister-in-law, Charlene Smith of Mount Horeb, and his nephews and nieces, Will (Laura) Smith and Kelli (Patrick) O'Connell of Mount Horeb, Heather (John) Kiefer of West Bend, and Heath (Kelly) Hagner of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by other relatives, the Schwartzlow family, life-long friend Gordon Ringhand, and special friend Karen Isham. He was preceded in death by his mother Velma, brother James Smith, and grand-daughter Jasmine Zweifel-Hughes. He enjoyed playing cards and always laughing and joking. His favorite hobby was coin collecting, which he started with his first job at nine years old. He will be remembered fondly for his heart of gold and his consistent hard work ethic. He will be dearly missed by many for his generosity and caring ways. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with his Aunt Alice Zweifel officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Belleville Cemetery.
