Grunnet
September 7, 1923 – March 24, 2021
Jerome Grunnet, age 97 passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born on September 4, 1923 the son of Theodor and Mildred (Waage) Grunnet near Blanchardville, and attended the Yellowstone School. On September 24, 1949 he was united in marriage to Eunice Keehn at the Oregon Lutheran Church. Jerome was a life-long farmer. He had served as a supervisor for the Town of Brooklyn for seventeen years, an officer for AMPI for thirty years, member of F.S.A. for forty-three years, and as a director of the Union Co-Op for thirty-five years. He was a member of the Brooklyn Lutheran Church.
Jerome is survived by his daughters Ardis Lohff and Marilyn (BJ) Mikkelson, grandchildren Christopher (Chelsea), Hillary (Branden), Stacy (Jeremy), Ahren, Joshua, Mackensie (Ryan), and James (Joni), and ten great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister June Armstrong, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eunice, son Steve Grunnet, brother Glen Grunnet, sisters Ethel Smith, Gladys Frautschy, and Charlene Anderson.
Private family services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the Brooklyn Lutheran Church, 101 Second, St., Brooklyn, WI with Pastor Rebecca Ninke officiating.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the graveside burial service at the Jug Prairie Cemetery, at the corner of Yarwood Rd. and Smith Rd., Brooklyn, WI at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is assisting the family.
