Janell R. Friedrich, age 71 passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at UW Hospital in Madison.  She was born on March 12, 1954 in Monroe, WI the daughter of Lyle and Claudette Freitag.  Janell graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 1972.  On November 9, 1974 she was united in marriage to Larry Friedrich at the Perry Lutheran Church in Daleyville, WI.  Janell had worked as a bookkeeper at auto dealerships along with being a farm wife.  She had also worked as a manager at many retail stores.  Janell was a member of the Blanchardville Jaycees and Jaycettes and the Mt. Vernon and Tri-County Trailblazers Snowmobile Club.  In recent years she cherished the title of grandma helping to care for her grandchildren.  She also loved to cook for others along with tending her flower gardens and watching the birds visit her feeders.

Janell is survived by her husband Larry, children Marcy (David) Turner, Kyle (Becky) Friedrich, Traci (Beau) Brummund, and Cindy (Kirk) Fitpold, grandchildren Taran, Brynna, Kason, Brad, Paige, Ethan, Addison, Zachary, Molly, and Kevilyn.  She is further survived by her siblings Renee (Steve) Bigler, Jolene (Blaine) Walsh, and Brian Frietag, nieces, nephews, and honorary grandchildren Dristen and Bradyn Kriebs.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Mount Horeb Senior Center Meeting Room, 107 N. Grove St., Mount Horeb, WI.
