James Robert Stock, age 69, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 at his home. He was born on February 17, 1942 to his parents Clarence M. and Dorothy A. (Thoma) Stock at Watertown, WI. Jim graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1960 and then attended MATC in Madison. On May 9, 1970 he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Heinzman at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Belleville. He worked at Meriter General Hospital in Madison as a Maintenance Techician. Jim could always be found tinkering with something to try and improve its function and design. He also enjoyed automobiles especially Corvettes and small engines. Jim is survived by his wife Mary of Belleville, WI, sons Lee James (Kaylin Stampfl) Stock of Belleville, WI and Lance Joseph (Jamie) Stock of Lake Mills, WI, grandchildren Tyler, Mackenzie, Jaxon, and Tyler. He is further survived by his brothers Clarence (Betty) Stock of Brisbane, Australia, John (Kay) Stock of Milton, WI, and Phillip (Dawn) Stock of Fort Atkinson, WI, and a sister Kathy Hess of Fort Atkinson, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Dorothy Drews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with Rev. Michael Moon officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, the Belleville Fire Department, or the Belleville Area EMS.
