Jacqueline Watkins

Jacqueline “Jackie” Watkins, age 61 of Belleville passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at UW Hospital in Madison following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on January 22, 1965 in Monroe, WI a daughter of Harold and Doris (Hoesly) Jenson. Jackie graduated from New Glarus High School in 1983 and continued her education in nursing at MATC in Madison. On October 17, 1987 she was united in marriage to Joel Watkins at the Primrose Lutheran Church. Jackie would dedicate nearly 40 years working as a nurse and nursing administration at the William S. Middleton VA Memorial Hospital. She was a baptized and confirmed member of Primrose Lutheran Church. Jackie loved tending her flower beds each spring around the house, adventures with her sisters, camping with family and friends, and her greatest joys were found in time spent with her family especially her grandchildren.

Jackie is survived by her husband Joel, children Adam (Megan) Watkins, Erin Ihm, grandchildren Olivia & Parker Watkins, and Odin Ihm. She is further survived by her siblings Jim (Ethel) Jenson, Judy (Mike) Johnson, JoAnn (Donald) Tourdot, Jenny (Larry) LaRosh, and Julie (Troy) Pauli, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold & Doris Jenson, father-in-law and mother-in-law Roy & Dorothy Watkins, and a sister-in-law Rachel Stampfli.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at the Primrose Lutheran Church, 8770 Ridge Dr., Belleville, WI with Pastor Jason Hill officiating. Burial will be in the East Dayton Cemetery, rural Belleville.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.
