Obituary

Harvey C. Funseth, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at his home. He was born December 18, 1936 in Primrose Township to Elsie (Duerst) and Clarence Funseth. Harvey graduated from New Glarus High School with the class of 1954. After graduation he worked at Pet Milk Industries. Harvey served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1959 and was stationed in France. He next worked for the State of Wisconsin Highway Commission as a surveyor until his retirement in 1992. Harvey was united in marriage to Barbara Disch in 1962. He enjoyed playing with the Sugar River Euchre League and the Dayton Place/Popps slow pitch teams. After his retirement his favorite a.m. pastime was watching the Price is Right. He is survived by Barb, his mother Elsie, sons Jeff, Jon, and Rick (Joan), daughters Terri (Vincent) Graziano and Tracy. He is also survived by six grandsons Greg Funseth, Josh Funseth, Philip and Joey Sokol, and Vincent and Rowan Graziano, brothers Don (Renee) and Bob (Melinda), a sister Sherry (Ron) Schult and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and also a special friend Lavonne (Boots) Freidig. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence and a brother Larry. A celebration of Harvey's life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 6th Ave., New Glarus, WI.
