Grant Henry Meyer, age 23 months passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at American Family Children's Hospital from complications of MELAS a condition that he was born with. He was born on December 30, 2018 the son of Paul and Cortney (Merry) Meyer. Grant was always a happy, smiling, and strong child. He loved his mother, father, and brother dearly. Grant always wanted to share with those around him, and his family will continue that in his memory.

Grant is survived by his parents Paul and Cortney, brother Lucas, grandparents Denny and Peggy Meyer, Roger Merry, and Linda Merry, and great-grandmother Lavon Olson. He is further survived by his uncles and aunts DJ (Karissa) Meyer, Will (Sarah Goldman) Merry, Mike (Katie) Merry, Candace (Howard) Hatch, and Tracy (Jeff) Ace, many cousins, other who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.

A private family memorial service will be held at the Primrose Lutheran Church on Monday, November 30, 2020 with the Rev. Nicole Espe officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the American Family Children's Hospital or the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.

The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is assisting the family.
