Gary L. Kuhl, age 75, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 at the New Glarus Home.  He was born on November 4, 1949 in Monroe, WI the son of Leland and Margie (Nay) Kuhl.  Gary graduated from Belleville High School in 1967.  On November 1, 1969 he was united in marriage to Jane Gmur at the Swiss United Church of Christ in New Glarus.  Gary owned and operated a milk hauling business for many years and later worked for Mike Amble Trucking, Comstock Tire, and was a Zamboni operator at the Dane County Alliant Center.  In his healthiest years you could find Gary in the woods felling trees and making firewood, or spending time in his shop working on projects, where he would share his knowledge and wisdom with his sons.  In later years, happiness was found with a grandchild or two on his lap or having one-on-one chats with them.  Gary loved any opportunity to share his stories, of which there were many.

Gary is survived by his wife Jane, children Bryan Kuhl, Holly (Daniel Faulkner) Kuhl, and Wade (Rebecca) Kuhl, and grandchildren Leah, Skye, Andrew, Evan, and Brianne.  He is further survived by his sister Linda (Donald) Chandler, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gary & Mary Gmur, Steve & Karen Gmur, and Milo & Debbie Parker, along with his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sandra Kuhl King, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Herbert & Helen Gmur.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with Rev. Kristin Gorton officiating.

A gathering will precede the memorial service from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville.
