Esther G. Geiger, age 89, of Helenville passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at her home. She was born on February 2, 1922 in Mt. Vernon to her parents Alfred and Louise (Bartschi) Eggimann. On January 20, 1947 she was united in marriage to Alvin H. Geiger. Esther was a loving mother and homemaker. She was also a member of the First United Church of Christ in Belleville, WI and fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Esther is survived by her sons Hal (Scarlet) Geiger of Helenville, WI and Tom Geiger of (Helenville), a daughter Loni (Ronald) Oliver of Waukesha, WI, eight grandchildren, and a sister Ruth Bolliger of Helenville. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, a grandson Bart Oliver, and three sisters Alycia, Lillian, and Esther. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 6th Ave., New Glarus, WI with burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery.
