Elaine Renee "Twinkles" Ruegsegger, age 41, of New Glarus passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. She was born on August 30, 1972 at Meriter Hospital in Madison to her parents Steven and Irene (Andreas) Ruegsegger. Elaine graduated from New Glarus High School in 1990 and continued her education at MATC. Elaine was a dedicated volunteer for several organizations; she especially liked working with children in the New Glarus School District. Elaine is survived by her parents Steve and Irene Ruegsegger, brother Earnie (Julie) Ruegsegger, sister Ericka (Ben) Howell, grandmother Irma Ruegsegger, niece Carissa, nephews Ryan, David, Collin, and Cade, godchildren Logan, Cory, and Danielle, godparents Pat Andreas and Corrine Viney, sister in spirit Denise (Dan) Bauman, special friend and caregiver Marie Frandy, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Albert Ruegsegger and John and Delores Andreas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Washington Reformation Church, N6026 Church Rd., Monticello, WI with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Ave., New Glarus, WI. A memorial fund has been established.
