Elaine Ardyce Hoesly, age 86, of Belleville passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Heartsong in Belleville. She was born on October 18, 1924 in the Town of Montrose to Fred and Barbara (Voegeli) Wild. Elaine graduated from Belleville High School in 1942. On February 24, 1950 she was united in marriage to Howard C. "Huck" Hoesly. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Belleville for over seventy years and the church choir for over 60 years. She was also a member of the Women's Guild, the Open Bible Study Group, Hannah Circle, and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Elaine is survived by her sons Mark (Eileen) Hoesly of St. Charles, IL and Bruce (Rosemarie) Hoesly of Waunakee, WI, five grandchildren Matthew (Cara) Hoesly, Elizabeth (Travis) Dillon, Emily Hoesly, Jay Hoesly and Ginger Hoesly, nieces Mardelle Wild and Barbara Geiser, nephews Marlin Wild and Richard Paulson, and grandniece Heather Wild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Huck in 2004, brother Karl, and sister Alice. The family would like thank Roger and Linda Butts, Ann and Jesse Statz, Ruth Viney, and the staff of Heartsong Assisted Living for their kindness and assistance over the years. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the First United Church of Christ, 130 E. Church St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Heide Walker-Hackman officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of service on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the First United Church of Christ in Belleville. The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is serving the family. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the First United Church of Christ.
