Earl A. "Sonny" Neath, age 89, of Belleville passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. in Fitchburg. He was born on November 19, 1924 in the Town of Rutland to his parents Vaughn and Emma (Johnson) Neath. Sonny attended the Flint School and graduated from Stoughton High School. Following high school Sonny enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II serving from 1943 to 1946 in Brazil earning the Victory Medal and American Area Campaign Ribbon. On October 19, 1946 he was united in marriage to Virginia Wethal at Stoughton, WI. Sonny worked for Oregon Feed and Supply for thirty seven years. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. Earl is survived by his wife Virginia Neath of Belleville, WI; sons: Roger (Sharon) Neath, Doug (Debbie) Neath, and Tommy Neath all of Belleville, WI; daughters: Jennifer (Tom) Gillette of Belleville, WI, Vickie (Jeff) Dvorak of Albany, WI, and Cindi (Tim Casey) Neath of New Glarus, WI; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister Barbara Hvam of Stoughton, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Russell Neath in 2012, and a sister Mildred Bunnell in 2011. A time of remembrance will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI led by David Ace with full military honors to follow. A gathering of relatives and friends will be held prior to the memorial service from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home.
