Donna Jean Knobel, age 72 passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024.  She was born on July 11, 1951 to Herbert and Darlene (Froh) Knobel.  Donna attended New Glarus High School and was active in band, choir, GAA, Old Guard staff, Drama Club, and Forensics.  After graduating she attended Edgewood College to become a Registered Nurse.  Her kind and compassionate nature were well suited for her career in nursing.  She had lived and worked in Milwaukee before returning to Madison to finish her nursing career at the William S. Middleton VA Memorial Hospital.

Donna is survived by her sisters Delayne Strand and Betsy (Paul) Elsner, brother Dean Knobel, brother-in-law Ted Crapp, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Diane Crapp, and brothers Danny and Dick Knobel.

A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Ave., New Glarus, WI.

A time of remembrance led by Petra Streiff will conclude the gathering at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home in New Glarus.
