Donald Carl Vogel, age 70 of Mount Vernon passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 14, 2025.  He was born on June 2, 1954 in Madison, WI the son of Donald E. and Viola (Trettin) Vogel.  Don grew up around Mount Vernon and attended Mount Horeb Schools.  Over the years he had worked for Dolphin Pools, Plastic Ingenuity, and had retired from Sub Zero.  Don was an avid outdoorsman enjoying times afield hunting, fishing, and trapping.  He also enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

Don is survived by his companion Barb Weber, son Michael (Chasity) Vogel, daughter Brooke (Scott) Philippi, grandchildren Austin Miller, Brianna (Dustyn) Gerads, Carter Philippi, Emma Philippi, Keira Philippi, Hunter Vogel, Dawsyn Vogel, and Kyssah Gann, and great-grandchildren Amelia and Vivian.  He is further survived by his siblings Louise (Roger) Jones, Judy Vogel, and Elaine Smith, special nephew Harry Kiesow, and Barb's family Melissa (David) Terrell, Jason Deery, Adam (Jackie) Deery, Jonathan (Jenny) Christen, and Sarah (Trent) Martinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wayne Vogel, and sister Ione Kiesow.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.

Private family graveside services will be held at the St. James Catholic Cemetery, N9087 State Rd. 92, Belleville, WI.
