Donald Paul Schaller, of Verona, WI, passed away peacefully at UW Hospital on December 6, 2023, at the age of 70. His final moments were spent surrounded by his wife and children.

Don was born in Madison, WI on July 30, 1953, to William and Eileen (Schweigert) Schaller. His childhood growing up on the farm instilled a lifelong passion for agriculture, and he loved to speak about it with anyone who would listen. Don married Kathryn Aebly on June 23, 1984, and they raised three children together on their family farm. Don enjoyed farming as well as complaining about farming, traveling, attending farm shows, driving while looking at the crops along the way, socializing with friends over coffee, and was an absolute master of the Midwest goodbye.

Don leaves behind his loving wife Kathy; children Amanda Schaller of Verona, WI, Rebecca (David) Jones of Whitewater, WI, Paul (Kitt) Schaller of Verona, WI; grandchildren Edward Schaller, Savannah Schaller, Felix Jones, and Miles Jones; siblings Mary Schaller of Verona, WI, Bill (Terry) Schaller of Portage, WI, Jim (Ginny) Schaller of Oregon, WI, and Kathy (Mario) Gobel of Belleville, WI; sister-in-law Marilyn Hefty of Ripon, WI; and many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eileen Schaller; in-laws Henry and Mary Aebly; brother-in-law Hank (Betty) Aebly; sister-in-law Betty (Mel) Zweifel; and close friends Ed, Cliff, and Fred.

A celebration of life will be held later in Spring of 2024. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
