Donald Leo Fahey, age 95 passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI.  He was born on March 17, 1928 in Belleville the son of John and Rose (Elsner) Fahey.  Don graduated from Belleville High School in 1946.  He then entered into the United States Army in 1950 and served as a forward artillery observer stationed in Japan and Korea.  Following his discharge in 1952 Don returned home to farm.  On May 1, 1954 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Doyle at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Belleville.  While Don was a life-long farmer he also worked for the State of Wisconsin DOT as a Driver's License Examiner for 24 years.

Donald is survived by his daughters Colleen (Al) Seifert, Cathy Fahey, Maureen (Randy) Gaber, and Erin (Troy) Hefty and eight grandchildren.  He is further survived by his brother Arthur Fahey, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, and sisters Anna Fahey and Kathleen Pfund.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m.  on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with Rev. Joseph Bellamkonda officiating.  Burial with military honors will be in the St. James Cemetery, rural Belleville.

A visitation will precede the mass from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville.
