Diane C. Charles

Diane C. Charles, age 78 passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at UW Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born on October 18, 1947 the daughter of Willard and Bernice (Michalski) Willner, Sr. Diane would graduate from Shawano High School in 1965 and then attend St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Marshfield. On August 31, 1968 she was united in marriage to Glenn Charles. Diane and Glenn would move to the rural New Glarus area in 1974 to raise their children Jenifer and Adam. She had worked for Carnes in Verona for many years along with working for Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin, the American Society of Agronomy, and WOLX radio. She was a member of the Primrose Lutheran Church. As a talented artist Diane enjoyed crafting; knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, and working with stained glass.

Diane is survived by her children Jenifer (Brian) Holmes and Adam (Amy) Charles, grandchildren Victoria (Jeremy) Jones, Mariah (Jason) Jones, Oren (Sydney) Charles, and Jack Charles, and great-grandchildren Layton, Kelton, and Weston. She is further survived by her siblings Mary (Gerard) Potvin, Mike (Nancy) Willner, Barb (Dean) Schlintz, and Willie (Justine) Willner, sisters-in-law Kathy (Walt) Yunk and Sharon Charles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn, great-grandchild Kyrston, and sisters Rae Jean Willner and Janet Maddin.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Primrose Lutheran Church, 8770 Ridge Dr. Belleville, WI with Pastor Jason Hill and Pastor Kurt Hansen officiating.

A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Primrose Lutheran Church, 8770 Ridge Dr., Belleville, WI.
