Diana K. Gruter, age 50, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at her home. She was born on September 15, 1964 in Madison, WI to her parents Keith Anderson and Judith Miller. Diana married Willy Gruter and later Lester Kempfer. She will be remembered for being the glue that brought the family together, a social butterfly who loved her friends, and a strong woman with a zest for life. Diana is survived by her husband Lester Kempfer of Belleville, WI, father Keith Anderson of Traverse City, MI, mother Judith (Bob) Loeffelholtz of Blanchardville, WI, daughters Andrea Anderson of Monticello, WI, Kelsey Gruter of Portage, WI, Jenna Gruter of Madison, WI and Tanya Gruter of LaCrosse, WI, grandchildren Channing and Caydence Wenger, and grandmother Elaine Miller of Madison, WI. She is further survived by her sisters Sarah (Todd) Elswick-Hustad of Sun Prairie, WI and Lisa Ramierez of Olympia, WA, niece Lita Elswick, nephew Isaiah Raine, aunts and uncles Jane (Jim) Anderson, Dave (Colleen) Anderson, Linda (John) Scalissi, Mary Jean (Rick) Gibbs, and John (Lynda) Miller, and mother-in-law and father-in-law Phyllis and Gene Kempfer. She was preceded in death by her sister Ruany Kruk and grandfather Jack Miller. A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.
