Deitrich "Dick" Tobias Knobel, age 50, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. He was born on November 11, 1962 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison the son of Herbert and Darlene (Froh) Knobel. Dick graduated from New Glarus High School. He worked as a manager for Engineering Industries in Verona, WI for many years. He is survived by his siblings Dean Knobel of New Glarus, WI, Diane (Ted) Crapp of New Glarus,WI, Donna Knobel of Oregon, WI, Delayne Strand of Oregon, WI, and Betsy (Paul) Elsner of New Glarus, WI, nieces, and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Daniel. A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home in New Glarus. A memorial fund has been established.
