David D. Ross, age 77 passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025 at his home.  He was born on June 4, 1948 in Dodgeville, WI the son of Harry and Doris (Engwall) Ross.  David served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970, where he was stationed in Germany as part of a missile artillery battalion.  Following his discharge, he was united in marriage to Judy Disch at the Mount Vernon UCC Church.  David worked as a school custodian for many years in Mount Horeb and Verona retiring in 2011.

He is survived by his wife Judy, sons Paul (Terri) Ross and Brian (Stephanie) Ross, grandchildren Tyler, Kaylie, Kirsten, Mara, and Myla, a great-grandson Mac, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Arthur, Gordon, and Orville Ross, sisters Carol Schulenberg, Ellen Amble, Barbara Esser, and Maureen Ross

Inurnment with military honors will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery.

The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is assisting the family.
