David Lawrence Kneebone, age 66, of Stoughton WI, passed away on Thursday, the Seventh day of August, in the year of our Lord, Two Thousand Fourteen. David was born on March 28, 1948 in Madison Wisconsin to his parents Maxwell and Almyra Kneebone. He attended Paoli grade school, Belleville and Verona High Schools. On May 18, 1970 he was united in marriage to Georgene Fink at the Little Brown Church in Nashua Iowa. Dave was a printer by trade. He was a member of the International Typographical Union. He served as Madison ITU chapel chairman and later treasurer of the Milwaukee chapter. He worked at Madison Newspapers Inc., and was very proud of his later involvement with the Madison Press Connection. He was currently serving the City of Stoughton as an Alderman. Dave enjoyed time spent with his family, and friends. He organized class reunions, and kept in touch with as many people as he could. He enjoyed garage sales, and was a Chicago Bears fan. He especially enjoyed fishing from his pier, feeding the ducks, squirrels, and other animals. He always kept the neighborhood kids supplied with fishing poles, as he felt fishing would teach them patience. David is survived by his wife Georgene of Stoughton, his children Aaron Kneebone of Edgerton, and Jesse (Tracy) Kneebone of Baraboo. A sister Roberta Kneebone of Verona, brothers William Kneebone of Fort Collins, CO and Arthur Kneebone of Paoli. He is also survived by four grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, 1338 County Rd. PB, Belleville, WI with the Rev. Sara Rabe officiating. A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Paoli. A memorial fund has been established.
