David Jarecki, age 82, of Verona passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 at his home.  He was born on May 15, 1941 in Chicago, IL the son of John and Estelle (Paluch) Jarecki.  David has attended seminary and then later worked as an occupational therapist for the Veteran's Administration.  He married Phyllis Prunty and they were married seventeen years until her passing in 1998.  On August 22, 2002 he was united in marriage to Catherine (Gehin) Nelson.

David is survived by his brother John Jarecki, sister Louise Jarecki, niece Patti (Adam), nephew Paul (Sylvia), and great-nieces and great-nephew Sarah, Olivia, and Nathan.  He is further survived by Cathy's family.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Estelle, wife Phyllis, wife Cathy (2019), sister Ruth Ziegler, and sister-in-law Marcia Jarecki.

A memorial mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 27, 2023 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 301 N. Main St., Verona, WI, Msgr. Kevin Holmes will officate.  Inurnment will be in the St. Raphael's Frenchtown Cemetery, rural Belleville, WI.

A gathering of relatives and friends will precede the memorial mass from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Verona.

The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is assisting the family.

Memorials are suggested to the Verona Senior Center.
