David L. Francois, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born on May 13, 1934 the son of Julian C. and Clara (Naef) Francois. David graduated from Belleville High School in 1952. Following high school David served in the U.S. Army in Korea. On August 10, 1960 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Kampmeier at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Belleville. Following her passing in 1999 David was united in marriage to Dessy Ponti on November 15, 2003 at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church. David owned and operated the fuel delivery truck for Francois Oil. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and Belleville Community Club. David is survived by his wife Dessy, two sons Scott and Todd, a brother Raymond (Corrine) Francois, and sisters Joan (Jerry) Donovan and Lois (Mike) Steckelis. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard, Paul, and Carlton, and a son Dale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Michael Moon officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
