Darold E. Blum, age 87 passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the SSM Health Hospital in Monroe.  He was born on January 7, 1936 in Verona, WI the son of Jacob and Lona (Zimmerman) Blum.  On November 6, 1953 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Kathleen Willoughby at her parent's home.  Darold was a cheesemaker for Stadelman's and a buttermaker at Pabst Farms in Paoli.  He later worked for Sterling-Geiger and then retired from the Carnes Company in Verona.  Darold was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Belleville.  He taught his children how to fish, hunt, and play sports.

Darold is survived by his children Deb Atkinson, Gene Blum, Gary Blum, Nate (Betsy) Blum, Larry Blum, and Kim Swanston.  He is further survived by his nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, brother Lesley Blum, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kathy, and brothers Maynard and Dean Blum.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with Pastor Yaba Lucie Anongba.  Burial will be in the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, WI.

A visitation will precede the funeral service from 12:00 noon until time of services on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville.
