Darlene Ann Loeffelholz, age 78, of New Glarus passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison. She was born on February 10, 1933 to Bernard and Hilda (Reuter) Vondra at Cuba City, Wisconsin. Darlene attended the Vondra School in Cuba City. On June 27, 1951 she was united in marriage to Linus Loeffelholz at Dubuque, IA. Darlene worked for many years at Monroe Cheese Corp. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville. Darlene loved and enjoyed her family very much. Darlene is survived by her ten children; Sandi Loeffelholz of Tomah, WI, Rita (Raymond) Rankin of West Union, IA, Gail (Lawrence) Rose of Greenwood, WI, Deb (Dan) Brunner of Mt. Horeb, WI, Linus Loeffelholz Jr. of New Glarus, WI, Chuck (Andrea) Loeffelholz of Belleville, WI, Pam (Clint) Zettle of Belleville, WI, Bill Loeffelholz of New Glarus, WI, Becky (Marc) Peterson of Belleville, WI, and Nicholas (Roxie S.) Loeffelholz, of Madison, WI, seventeen grandchildren; Kenneth, Raymond Jr. and Henry Rankin, Darlene Feis, Laura and Josh Rose, Trinity Gelhar, Dusty and Danielle Brunner, Lindsey, Travis, Clarice, Charlie, Cody, and Ashley Loeffelholz, Heather Herman, and Lucas Peterson, sixteen great-grandchildren; Denise, Carol, Riley, Jayden, Addyson, Landyn, Tracer, and Taylor Rankin, Allie Winsell, Shyanne and Devin Rose, Alexander Gelhar, Blake Loeffelholz, and Michael, Leeann, MacKenzie Christianson, brothers Donald (Norma) Vondra, Kenneth (Marcene) Vondra, Eldon (Ginny) Vondra, and Joe (Rita) Vondra, and a sister Rita Taylor, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael Loeffelholz, a sister Burnetta Neis, and brother-in-law Gerald Neis, two brothers Bernard and David Vondra, a brother-in-law Harvey Taylor, and a niece Janet Hardyman. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St, Belleville, WI with the Rev. Michael Moon officiating with inurnment of cremains in the St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery in Mt. Hope, WI. Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.
