Darlene Inez Klitzke, age 83, of New Glarus, passed away on May 3, 2014 at the New Glarus Home. She was born March 23, 1931, the daughter of Oscar and Laura( Hagelie) Fosaaen in Military Township, Ossian,Iowa. On June 29, 1956 she was united in marriage to Roy Klitzke in New Glarus, WI.Darlene was a dedicated CNA at the New Glarus Home for over twenty years and farmed with her husband in New Glarus Township. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, quilting and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband Roy, her daughter Laurie (Paul) Shoener, a son Rory G. (Joan Foster) Klitzke. Grandchildren Nathan Shoener, Brenton (Moranda) Shoener, Allena Shoener, Bobbie Foster, Craig Foster, Jenny Foster, Keontrai Foster, Deveon Foster, Rory Jr. (Nicole) Klossner, Olivia and Sydney Klossner. A brother Marvin (Joan) Fosaaen. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Obert and Jordeen Fosaaen sisters; Ethel Zweibohmer and Evelyn Valland. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 506 12TH Ave., New Glarus, WI with the Reverend Gene Talley officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 506 12th Ave., New Glarus, WI. A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
