Connie K. Woerpel, age 81 of New Glarus passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Azura Memory Care in Monroe.  She was born on March 19, 1942 in Fennimore, WI the daughter of Arnold and Juanita (Weldy) Payne.  Connie graduated from Madison West High School in 1960.  On August 28, 1960 she was united in marriage to Richard Woerpel in Madison, WI.  Connie was foremost a homemaker and mother.  As she loved children, she would go on to work in early childhood education for several years.  Connie enjoyed family gatherings, gardening, and being outdoors in nature.

Connie is survived by her husband Richard "Dick" Woerpel, children Dan (Carolyn) Woerpel, James (Julie) Woerpel, David (Donna LaRoche) Woerpel, and Lisa Wyeth Woerpel, grandchildren Will (Ashley), Cody (Vanessa), Casey (Nakhanh), Kyle (Kirsten), Jennifer (Chris), Jonathan, Skyler, Jamie, Brandon, Penelope, and Milo, and great-grandchildren Ellie, Archie, Jensen, Evalynn, Isabella, Ivy, Atlas, and Madison.  She is further survived by her siblings Bonnie (Stanley) Venden, Juanita Blomstrom, and Grace Ann Williams, sister-in-law Alice Brown, sister-in-law & brother-in-law Sandy & Robert McGowan, nieces, and nephews.
