Clifford L. Rauch, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at his home. He was born on April 2, 1941 in Madison, WI to his parents Mathias and Clara (Schmidt) Rauch. Cliff graduated from Edgewood High School in 1959. On May 23, 1964 he was united in marriage to Joanne Altmann. Cliff worked as a carpenter alongside his brothers with Rauch Builders and later with Midwest Homes. He had been a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Madison Fire Department. Cliff loved his family and grandchildren and missed the noise and chaos after they went home. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and NASCAR racing. Cliff is survived by his wife Joanne of nearly fifty one years of Belleville, WI, sons Matthew (Chris) Rauch of Cross Plains, WI, Michael Rauch of Madison, WI, Joseph (Alecia) Rauch of Cottage Grove, WI, and Jeffrey Rauch of Belleville, WI, daughter Elizabeth (Robert) Cichy of Madison, grandchildren Samuel, James, John, Caitlyn, Brooke, Brady, and Norah. He is further survived by a brother George (Phyllis) Rauch of Verona, WI and sisters Karen (David) Armour of Fitchburg, WI and Kathy Power of Sarasota, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard, James, and Thomas, a sister Phyllis McGrath, father-in-law and mother-in-law Roy and Helen Altmann, brother-in-law Scott Altmann, and a sister-in-law Jeanne Mullen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Michael Moon officiating. A gathering of relatives and friends will precede the Mass from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville. A memorial fund has been established. The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is serving the family.
