Claudette Mary Murphy, age 78, of Belleville passed away at her home with her family by her side on October 22, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 3, 1936 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison to her parents Claude and Edith (Larson) Loughead. Claudette graduated from Belleville High School in 1954. On October 26, 1957 she was united in marriage to the love of her life and high school sweetheart Robert Murphy at the Grace United Methodist Church in Belleville. She farmed alongside her husband and also worked at M&I Bank in Madison for many years. Claudette enjoyed socializing with family and friends and appreciated the spirit found in her small community. Claudette is survived by her children Joan (Rick) Funseth of New Glarus, WI, Ruth (Steve) Zuber of New Glarus, WI, Mary (Gary) Francois of Belleville, WI, Patricia (Bob) Jenkins of Verona, WI, and John (Marie) Murphy of Belleville, WI, grandchildren Scott, Josh, Ashley (Alex), Tony, Hailey, Hannah, Rochelle, Janelle (Ryan), Dan (Erin), Kyle, Alex, Nick, and Kaitlin, great-grandchildren Quinton, Ethan, Tristan, Addison, Ana, Maelyn, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, and a grandson Michael. Relatives and friends may call from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home , 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI. A private family graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the East Dayton Cemetery.
