Carolyn Bunnell, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at AgraceHospice Care, Inc., Fitchburg surrounded by family and friends. Carolyn was born on November 13, 1928 in Madison, WI the daughter of Clarence and Alma (Hendrickson) Olson. She married Sam Ace Jr. and lived in Belleville where she cared for her six children. She later married Merlin Bunnell. After Merlin's death in 1988, Carolyn moved to Oregon where she lived the rest of her life. Carolyn was very active in the community. She volunteered at Oregon Manor nursing home and was always selfless in helping those in need. She was a member of the Zwingli UCC in Paoli. Carolyn enjoyed family get-togethers and listening to classic country music. Carolyn worked many jobs throughout her life. She retired from WISCO Industries in Oregon, WI after 40 years of service.

Survivors include her six children: Sandra (Lee) Cloud, Butch (Renee) Ace, Sue Noyce, Steve (Sue) Ace, Kevin Ace, Patty Ace, and David (Kari) Ace. She is also survived by twenty one grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, her second family the Neaths, her former husband Sam (Marylou) Ace, and special friend Helen Woodruff.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Merlin, companion Bobby Berger, brother Kensel Olson, grandson Michael Ace, daughter-in-law Rosie (Leikness) Ace, and son-in-law Perry Noyce.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ-Paoli, 1338 County Rd. PB, Belleville, WI with Rev. Sara Rabe officiating. Graveside burial services will be in the Prairie Mound Cemetery, Oregon, WI.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the staff at Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. for their special care of mom during her final days.
