Carol Jane Messner, age 96 passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the New Glarus Home.  She was born on February 3, 1928 in Mequon, WI the daughter of Henry and Selma (Lederer) Voeks.  Carol graduated from Shorewood High School.  On October 18, 1947 she was united in marriage to Peter Messner in Milwaukee, WI.  Carol had worked for Badger Laboratory and later Wisconsin Pharmacal from where she retired.  In addition to her working career, she was first and foremost a loving mother and homemaker.  Carol was a longtime and active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Jackson, WI.  She was also a member of the Homemaker's organization.

Carol is survived by her sons Kurt Messner and Kris (Rick Mattson) Messner, grandchildren Brett, Scott (Marie), Jonathan (Natalia), Chase, and Morgan Messner, great-grandchildren Javier, Mauricio, Maiwenn, and Constance.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Peter, and sisters Viola Rady, Irene Laing, Arlene Beitzel, and Lucy Hofmann.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.  Inurnment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI.
