Bernice M. Hustad, age 90, of New Glarus passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the New Glarus Home. She was born on June 15, 1925 near Blanchardville, WI the daughter of William and Clara (NyGaard) Granberg. Bernice attended Blanchardville Schools. On February 23, 1943 she was united in marriage to Arthur B. Hustad by the minister from the Yellowstone Lutheran Church where Bernice had been baptized and confirmed. Bernice and Arthur farmed and lived in the Town of Primrose for many years. Later she worked at Dorman Cheese and then GreenCo Industries from where she retired. She was a member of the Primrose Lutheran Church.

Bernice is survived by her son Robert A. (Carol) Hustad of Swisher, IA, daughters Ardis (Lee) Strack of Monticello, WI and Beverly (Jeffrey) Webber of Mt. Horeb, WI, thirteen grandchildren Nick (Heide) Duerst, Neal Duerst, Nolan (Sandra) Duerst, Andrew (Renee Weisenberg) Strack, Stacy (Mitch) Heller, Angie (Gary) Sieger, Marie Webber, Mindy (Jeff) Lahey, Marsha (Robert) LaCount, Alan (Carla) Hustad, Sara (Todd) Barnett, Dana (Jeff) Martinak, Paula (Ray) Simmons, forty one great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers Perry (Alice) Granberg, Sylvester (Ada) Granberg, Leland (Mary) Granberg, five sisters Alvina (James) McKeon, Ethel (Ross) Richardson, Doris (Robert) Maurer, Dora (Harold) Maurer, and an infant sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Primrose Lutheran Church, 8770 Ridge Dr., Belleville, WI with Pastor Nicole Espe officiating with burial in the Primrose East Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Ave., New Glarus, WI.
