Barbara Jean Smith, age 74 passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 at UW-Hospital in Madison.  She was born on January 1, 1950 the daughter of William and Ethel (Grunnet) Smith at Madison General Hospital.  Barbara lived a challenging life due to her disabilities.

She is survived by her brothers Bruce (Ellen) Smith, William (Mary) Smith, and Brian (Julie) Smith, sisters Beverly Burrows, Beth (Jeff) Buesser, Betty Carlson, and Brenda Smith, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Evelyn, and brothers-in-law Glen Burrows and David Carlson.

Private family services will be held.  Burial will be in the East Dayton Cemetery, rural Belleville, WI.

The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is assisting the family.
