Anna Lu Ringgenberg passed away at Bethany-St. Joseph Care Center in La Crosse, WI on November 10, 2010. She moved to La Crosse in August, 2008 to be near family. Anna Lu was born September 9, 1924 in Belleville to Lawrence and Florence Hanold. She graduated from Belleville High School. She married John Ringgenberg on January 16, 1952, and they farmed near Belleville for many years. She was an active member of First United Church of Christ in Belleville. Anna Lu loved children and family, and many family members fondly remember Easter egg hunts at the farm. She is survived by two children, Julianne (Ken) Parott of Denver and Larry (Ingrid) Ringgenberg of La Crosse. Anna is also survived by four grandchildren: Matthew (Jolynn) Ringgenberg, Erin Parrott, Jessica Ringgenberg, and Kristen Ringgenberg, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Anna Lu was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, and her brothers Donald and Richard Hanold. The family would like to thank the staff at Clare Bridge Assisted Living and Bethany St. Joseph Care Center, and the doctors, nurses, and Hospice staff of Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center for the care they provided in the last years of her life. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the First United Church of Christ, 130 East Church St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Heide Walker-Hackman officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI .
