Obituary

Alice Faye Strommen, age 74, of Albany, WI formerly of Blanchardville passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at her daughter's home in Kenosha, WI. She was born on November 24, 1937 in Antlers, OK to James W. Carpenter and Vivian (Pyle) Carpenter. She lived in CA much of her adult life. She moved to Wisconsin in 1990 and managed assisted living homes in Racine (Palmeter Home & Lincoln Center). She married Leland Strommen in 1993 and came to live at the farm in Blanchardville until moving to Albany. Alice is survived by her four daughters Vickie (Dennis) Bryant of Portland, OR; Terri (Mike) LaMont of Kenosha, WI; Sherri (Kevin) Donahue of Albany, WI; and Teryl Watson of Albany, WI; four step-children, nineteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers James Carpenter of Broken Arrow, OK; David Sexton of Haskell, OK; Mark Carpenter of San Bernadino, CA; sisters Mary Gordon of Haskell, OK; and Carolyn Selby of Pampa, TX; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leland Strommen; brother's Robert Harrell, TX and Richard Carpenter. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with Tom Haltom officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of service on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville, WI.
